Spent $900 a year ago on one of these. In for a second. This thing is absolutely earth shaking without being boomy.

Have a Mirage Omni S12 which was highly regarded back in the day. Want to go to a 2 sub setup and have been wanting to pick up an RSL-12. Anyone have an opinion on the RSL-12 or maybe has used both? I realized I missed a labor day sale and could have picked one up for $699. 😡
the klipsch handily beats the rsl.. its just making sure to catch it when its 50% off.

they go for that price periodically at Adorama via Slickdeals. must use Slickdeals url to see the price, when available. I would just set a deal alert and wait for it.. Maybe by Black Friday 🤞🏽

Will this fit in the trunk of my Civic?
yes - if you delete the roof & make it a Convertible.

How much did this run you? Which Amp and sub do you use for that? I saw the build online awhile back and looked like a fun project

In for 1. The five year warranty is sufficient for our interests and needs. If I get five years out of this, I'm sure there will be yet better subwoofers to be had by then.

Same here... dual 14"s pumping to the max everyday without any issues for over a year. I've heard my buddy's rsl-12s and my Klipsch play more musical and go much lower. Its not even in the same ball park.

I "upgraded" to the 2x 14" Klipsch subs from two Boston Acoustics VR2000's (12 inches 350w rms). Yeah, the Klipsch produce way more bass HOWEVER it came at a cost of articulation and punch (at least in my room). It really depends on your flavor, personally if I were to do it all over again I would have gone with the HSU's and not worry about the deals as much.

I've heard both but not side by side.Depends on expectations/preference you're after. If you're looking to rattle windows/walls/bother your neighbors two of these is probably the way to go.If you want more defined articulation bass probably two RSL is probably the better option. Keep in mind optimal placement is crucial for optimal performance. These have a huge footprint, can be a challenge.
I don't understand why this comment got down voted, it's completely valid.

As you kinda pointed out also.
These Klipsch subs gives a lot of "boom" for a low cost.
Better "boom" comes at a cost, Klipsch fans do not like that opinion.

I run two sealed subs in a dedicated HT setup & works extremely well to say the least for me!

If I did it again I would definitely consider SB5000s!
Set up duals & WOW, for the slightly larger footprint, that is A LOT of performance.
Especially now with ART, would be a very good match!

I got one of these a year ago and I was so happy with it I ended up getting a second. It was the missing piece to my Klipsch RP setup, and now it sounds like a personal IMAX, it's awesome.

Have you noticed a big difference after adding the second sub? I have own one RP 1600 SW I am debating if I need to spend $1000 for a second one. Is the additional bass worth the money? thoughts?
