No but it will let you make good coffee. Better than paying $7 for Starbucks garbage

An OK bag of beans costs around $15 for a kilo. We make 2-3 double shots every day, so a bag lasts us about a month. $180/yr. With the machine at $900, it's a total of $1080 for the first year.

I switched to a premium hand grinder, a Fellow's kettle, a ceramic Airscape and a full manual espresso machine. Bit of a learning curve, but the coffee is MUCH better. Also, the equipment on the countertop does not look like something I acquired at Best Buy.

For those adding milk, flavorings and even cocoa to their coffee, machines like this with colorful displays are worth it for the entertainment value as much as for the (average) coffee they make
