Yes this has Alexa Plus if your account does. I bought one last time on sale. I had been using original for long time with my old car that doesn't have anything but a stereo. Got Bluetooth fm adapter so it plays through my radio. works nice enough, original just as good. This is smaller and easier to hang though. Works well for playing Spotify and other things through the radio. Also use it to navigate by asking it for directions to whatever. Good for older cars or those with a lot of smart home stuff, newer cars, maybe not as much.

Alexa Plus is account-based, so buying this device won't get you access, but if you have access already, then this device is compatible.

I forgot that I have a couple of these from a SD 6-7 years ago. Maybe I'll plug one in in the garage. Was a nice upgrade in the 2000 minivan w/ CD+cassette with wired miniplug -> cass adapter!

My car's built-in mic has poor sound quality, so I'm considering using an Echo Auto for calls to take advantage of its 5-mic setup.

Can I use it for both regular calls and calls through messaging apps? If so, how does it work? To set it up, I assume I just need to pair my phone with the Echo Auto via Bluetooth and connect the Echo Auto to my car's stereo via the 3.5mm auxiliary port, is that correct?
