About this title:
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989):
San Dimas, California, teens Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are dangerously close to flunking their high school history class. Luckily, they get some unexpected help from Rufus (George Carlin), a man from the future who gives the guys a time-travelling phone booth that allows them to meet such historical luminaries as Abraham Lincoln, Billy the Kid, Joan of Arc, Napoleon, and more.
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991):
Oh, no, dudes! Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) have to go to incredible lengths to win an important band contest. It's, like, into Heaven and Hell they go, encountering some look-alike robots and challenging the Grim Reaper to a game of Battleship.
Bill & Ted Face The Music (2020):
The long-awaited third entry in the popular comedy/sci-fi series finds the universe on the brink of destruction-and Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) still haven't written the song that was meant to prevent that very catastrophe. Can another wild trip through time and a little help from their respective daughters (Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine) get the tune penned before all of reality is lost forever?

I didn't even know there was a third movie. It must have done poorly.
Very much so. The third was painfully awful.
Was the plot dumb? Absolutely
Was the retcon dumb? Of course
Is it worth a watch? If you enjoyed the first two and go in without analyzing much of the plot, you'll be fine.

I enjoyed the third movie more than I thought; Alex Winters and Keanu didn't miss a beat stepping into their characters, and seeing them interact again was worth it in my opinion. I even enjoyed seeing them play alternate versions of themselves... that was the most enjoyable part.

this is fat-man logic. "dumb" and "you'll be fine" instead of the myriad other things one could do over 2 hours. Something should pretty durn entertaining to drive you into a seated position.
