I own this for 11 years and still going strong. If you take care of it and wash the bowls properly, they last forever.

I almost wish my break or wear out so i can get a new fancy one.

This has been in my Amazon cart for probably close to a year. Finally made the jump from a cheap rice cooker to this.
Probably would have went for the other version (umami micom) if it was the smaller one, but 10 cup uncooked capacity is just way too much when I usually only make 1 cup.

Good price for the made-in-Japan model. Got mine back in January for ~$170 and it's among my most used kitchen appliances. They really do make making excellent quality rice trivial. I use it about twice a week, and have cooked 50+ pounds of rice in it so far. No regrets.

Saw the most recent comments and got a little worried. Wish my luck! My aroma is still a workhorse but I want an upgrade. Tried the GBC IH and it was too chewy and hard to bite when cooled. Hopefully this is more flexible.

Going to try it. I've been meaning to shop around for a high quality rice cooker. Really helps that it's from Amazon. If it doesn't feel worth $160, I'll just return it.

Also helps that they're offering 10% cashback for Amazon Prime Visa card users.
