Many negative reviews stated that it was locked to Verizon
I have a question for you and that is, do you have any particular reason why you want to be on the security update? I mean to ask have you directly been hacked for having a couple of months out security? on a phone? I feel like a lot of people who want the security updates, while they are a good legitimate concerns, I don't think that the average person is actually affected by having slightly out of date security updates, at least so far for most people anyways. I haven't ever heard of a worm that spread through everybody's phone because of a common out-of-date zero day attack
I think most people would appreciate the peace of mind that the manufacturer cares about its customers and continues to issue updates for a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, Motorola has a horrible reputation when it comes to any kind of timely software updates or commitments. I know many people who would not consider buying a Motorola phone for this reason alone, or they were already burned in the past by a Motorola phone that never got promised or timely updates.
these phones were selling for $40 last thanks giving, they were locked to total wireless. folks were able to unlock it after 1 month / 2 month of plan. Based on that this phone is still expensive.
Also moto has a really bad update policy, if it matters to you. the only phone maker who would come close to them from the bottom would be BLU mobile.
Easy free returns. I had this phone from the Straight Talk deal. Was surprised at how snappy it was. Camera was decent, nice screen, and wireless charging. The fingerprint sensor on the side was nice too. Good deal.
I have this phone too and it seems just as good as my pixel 8 (except for the camera) which the screen went bad on for no reason.
The same seller has another listing for the same phone at $162. The listing is almost identical so this one is most definitely not the unlocked version.
Buy direct from Motorola and trade in whatever. I traded in a tired Pixel 6a 2 weeks ago and they gave me $64. so making my cost on the phone $100. Factory unlocked.
