If you go to your subscriptions and have recurring payments on, you'll see that next billing is $29.99. So op's not scamming.
Mine still says $19.99 but its due to renew on Oct 11. Maybe bc I've had the service for a long time and typically get free codes from MS rewards or discounted ones from cdkeys?

I asked Microsoft to unlock the account. It took them 3 months to tell me they couldn't and "although we are sure this isnt the answer you want to hear," they wouldn't give me any credit for the two plus years of Xbox Ultimate Game Pass I had on the account, nor would they refund me the annual Office 365 subscription I had purchased a week before my account was compromised.
That's what I get for paying for too much in advance.

Are they though? I know Microsoft is betting big into AI like every other tech player out there. However, I honestly haven't seen anyone on the consumer side paying for their AI products.Sure, they'll advertise Copilot 24/7, but most people stay at the free/lowest tiers of ChatGPT/Copilot/Grok. AI's cranking out better and better generative-slop novelties but no must-have killer apps.I will definitely admit that AI is still a killer buzzword when attracting blind investments though. Not sure why a litterbox needs AI, but one can certainly get funding for it!
Noone cares about individual customers right now. when ai is strong enough (e.g. smaller companies are gone) - we will pay. Corporations are more important now and they pay millions (if not billions) already.

Will Xbox even be around in 3 years??
For non current subscribers, i think the wise move is only get 1 month at a time to catch up on the xbox catalog when needed. $360 a year is absurd now.
