Both the Traditional and Rich & Hearty seem to be gluten-free. Traditional contains whey powder, maltodextrin, buttermilk, butter, and guar gum. Rich & Hearty contains soy lecithin. Otherwise, the ingredient list is virtually identical, and both contain milk and soy. Progresso has a disclaimer on their site that says the ingredient list may change at any time and to always check the ingredient list on the can itself. They've changed some of their gluten-free soups in the past to contain gluten.

The Rich & Hearty product line is supposed to be thicker than Traditional (which is funny because the Traditional has extra thickeners in it), so I assume the Traditional uses more clam broth. I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference unless I was eating them side-by-side.

I got a can recently and didn't even notice it was gluten free. I don't remember the last time I've had their gluten version though.

This is my go-to for a quick and cheap lunch that's reasonably balanced to give you some fat and protein. I'm still working through the 12-pack I got a few months ago, otherwise I'd pounce on this. Under $1 is extremely hard to find nowadays at my local grocers.

I usually recommend extra pepper to give the soup a little more bite and smokiness.

Edit: I think this is dead. I decided I'd pick up another pack of these, but it errors out and you can't add them to the cart.

Yes it is great meal.

Looks like it is back, but no SS discount now. Still a great deal. In 4 1.

Had to keep adding it back into my cart but finally went through at $11.64 with no subscribe or coupon needed. No shipping date so looks like it went OOS, so we'll see if and when it ships. Thanks, OP!

Back to dead it appears, once more. It's showing over $20 now.
