Saved me $100 on a flight that was priced the same as the airline last quarter. It is back again this quarter.

Must spend $600 in one transaction. Details included below.

Add the offer in your "chase offers" section. This was available on my Chase freedom.

It's a good deal, biggest downside is if you actually need to interface with Chase Travel (like to make a change) then it is not as consumer-friendly as dealing directly with the airline.

Also can't book any international travel involving a child under 2 (regardless of lap infant or own seat) online with Chase Travel (the deal terms say must be purchased online). Some horror stories of people who have purchased infant tickets through Chase Travel through the phone only to show up at the airport and not actually have a ticket number with the airline.

is this deal worth it? I thought CC travel sites usually inflate their prices compared to, say, booking directly via the vendor or booking through another travel agency (e.g., booking.com)

Most cases the prices are inflated, you gotta check every hotel with Expedia or Priceline to decide. Fun fact, chase travel is fully operated by Expedia but the prices are inflated always.

I cancelled a flight within 24 hours. They refunded me after one billing cycle. Therefore I try to avoid Chase Travel if possible.

Ah yeah that's what I thought. You mean inflated on top of expedia's inflated prices right? Though idk if expediate inflates their prices -- from my experience, the large travel agencies like booking, expedia occasionally have cheaper airfares than the direct vendor

If it helps, you had to pay your CC bill after one billing cycle anyways, so it's not like you were out of money.

I didn't get this offer on any card :/

It was for me--esp stacked with Flex 5% back on Chase travel. I had booked Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay with booking.com after no availability on the hotel site for our needs. Chase had it even cheaper--and still cheaper was a room upgrade. Both bookings are fully refundable until day before check-in. I can't say it always works like this--just that it did this time. I'd also gotten the BEST points deal on an ANA NRT-HNL directly with Chase--almost half the cost in points (CSR still paying the 1.5) of the aeroplan deals and no $$. I've only had to interact with Chase (about a year ago) regarding a flight change. The airlines rebooked automatically, but we saw a flight we preferred. No problem having Chase handle it.
