Anyone have experience with these? How well do they work?

I have a different brand of this style and it's really useful. So much easier to move around than a normal extension ladder.

I have a few of these, they are great. Disposable at this price for what I need. Finding a narrow enough ladder to fit through a boiler door isn't easy. They are not for extreme duty, and boiler work is rough on them, but when they break, I can throw them away knowing I got my money's worth out of it. So much easier to move around to the top shelves in the garage and shop than extending or step ladders.

But when they break, won't they break you too?

No ladder is safe. Or unsafe. Only the users.

Links? Please?

e.g. I'm not seeing anything at Lowes for $92, but maybe it's me?

This looks similar enough to consider, yes?

These type of joints make the ladder shake like crazy every time you go up or down.

Well, compared to a single-purpose type ladder, sure. But that's not what these tools are for per se.

Plus, as someone else already mentioned... ladders, all ladders, have the potential to be dangerous. Being careful comes w/ the territory.

I've had my eye on one of these - this one just doesn't look quite long enough for most of my use. 10.5' isn't quite long enough to extend past the edge of a roof or comfortably get into the attic with a 9' ceiling. I'm going to keep my eye open for the 15' that's OOS right now.
