I don't wear it in public other than on airplane, because it would have invited too much attentions. It feels nice to have the fan blowing on the face, however, I don't use the fan most of the time because I find the fan noise rather annoying. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice headphone actually. I was concerned about the weight before purchase but it's very well balanced, so as long as I am not moving around it's very comfortable.

Would it work well for mowing with the visor on? I've been wearing ear plugs and masks while mowing, this seem to do both.

Thanks for the call out on the differences. I've mostly been wearing ear plugs but have used noise canceling headphones a few times. I'll know to stick with the ear plugs now.

Yes. It has excellent noise cancelation mode. I use it to block leafblowers as I can't stand them.
