Protecting Windows 10 pc if it can not update to win 11?

4,016 115 October 4, 2025 at 11:02 PM
One of my pc is not eligible to upgrade to win 11.

I do not want to give MS my email ID - there is a way to extend it for just 1yr.

Is Virus sw is enough to give the protection?
I hear there is still a way upgrade to win 11.

Best way to proceed?

If your PC does not meet the Win 11 requirements (TPM 2.0 chip, CPU), you can bypass them with Rufus. Here is the link: https://rufus.ie/en/ .

You can look up video tutorials, but before it starts writing the Win 11 ISO to the USB, there should be a popup of various options. Among them you can disable hardware checks and give you the option of a local account.
