To use apple cider vinegar for fruit flies, create a trap by placing some apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap in a bowl. Fruit flies are attracted to the vinegar's smell, and the dish soap breaks the surface tension of the liquid, causing the flies to fall in and drown. For added effectiveness, you can also cover the bowl with plastic wrap, secure it with a rubber band, and poke small holes in the top to let the flies in but not out

Gotta think what is the cost of bringing your own supplies, and your own labor, to build four traps for 180 days. I think the price for this deal is worth just buying the traps and bait already pre-made.
