This is really tempting, but I've heard so many mixed reviews about people getting these from Woot.
Some said they literally were brand new, while others found scratches, finger prints etc on them.

I have the current regular Kindle but I read 1-2 books per week, so I would like to upgrade to a paper white.

That's the nature of like new if you want something guaranteed new, buy new. If you have an older Kindle that you don't use you can save 20% off of the price (159) if you opt for no Kindle unlimited and trade it in you'll also get however much your Kindle is worth but at just the 20% off it's ~$27 more for guaranteed new versus this deal. If you are not trading it then you should opt for the free Kindle unlimited at the same $159 price, later after it arrives if you want to remove ads it's $20 more. Accessible from the my device portion of Amazon regardless what version you buy (or from where). If you are not using the 20% trade in I strongly recommend the Kindle unlimited feature and adding the no ads at a later date if advertisements durning off mode bothers you. With a magnetic cover you will not see the advertisements for very long IMHO.

These Kindles are brand new, but may have a slight blemish on the screen. They are backed by a 90-day Woot warranty.

Get the Paperwhite Kids deal that Amazon is running for $135. You get a brand new Paperwhite and a cover (though it'll be a cartoony kids one). Just disable Kid mode and use it as a regular Kindle when you get it.
