My landscaper said there is no such thing or need for fall preemergent but I guess this product is the opposite of what he said.

do not apply this if you are going to be renovating your lawn because this prevents seeds from germinating I don't know how long it lasts the stop germinating part. chat gpt says like 6 weeks I believe

we just had our lawn aerated and overseeded. He said what ever we choose for fertilizer DO NOT place weed and feed. Mentioned visiting clients who shared spreading it before the seed/aeration job and he refused to do it.
