* Showing OOS/limited stock in my area and $79 with $30 off with in-store activation of $40 or higher plan.
Kept the preinstalled (unactivated) AT&T prepaid physical SIM card in the phone occupying IMEI1.
All is working well. Calls/Text/5G Data. When first attempting the transfer with service on Warp (VZW Network) the eSIM transfer would not go through.
Requested US Mobile to change my line's network to DarkStar and it installed without a hitch.

Once the Trustonic software is installed It also disables the ability to use developer options.
If you do a fresh install, and setup the entire device offline you are able to enable developer options and usb debugging -> adb.
Tried a few different ways to disable the app from ever installing but all failed in the end.

I have never been able to get any the the AT&T prepaid phones to unlock, it was not an issue for me, since I have been with Cricket forever, and have no current plans to leave.
What was interesting was when "additional apps" were being automatically added, it listed "MyAT&T" as "From Cricket Wireless" (I couldn't uncheck this).
Upon finishing setup, I'm presented with a screen "You're using an AT&T Prepaid locked device" that other commenters have mentioned. There's the back button and a Next which downloads the Device Unlock app... holding breath...
It -says- cricket at the status bar on top...but I'm not testing until everything is finished installing...
Turned off WiFi and tested an app succesfully on 5G. Was about to place a test phone call when the device notified me of a critical update (would perform regardless while sleeping). 5 minutes later, success.
TLDR: yes

Don't have a physical sim to test with but if I get one I'll try it out.
Right time to grab near free phones.
