Heads up for anyone porting a Google voice number: use the 10 digit phone number for the account number. For the pin, you have to set a pin for your voicemail in the Google voice settings to use that as the porting pin. Lastly, you have to pay the $3 to unlock the number for porting somewhere in the Google voice settings. I had a few hiccups with mine and had to make a few phone calls to total wireless to get it going but I finally got it to work. If you're still having trouble, look up a guide. I've heard sometimes they ask for a zip or even a full address and for that it looks like you might have to use an address for what might be Google HQ in California, but I was never asked.

I think I also had to cycle through a few numbers on Google numbers before I got one that total wireless would accept.
Can you or someone help me with the porting process? I unlocked GV number, clicked the activation link from TW email. I chose "I want to keep my number" and entered my GV number, and IMEI2 (eSim) and it says "There are no devices in our system with the information you provided. Please review the information and try again." What am I supposed to do?

Edit: So there was a red booklet with the instruction. I was supposed to use the IMEI for pSim. I called the number, with AI assistant, I got a new number, but I am unable to make call.
Edit 2: I am able to make the call when I woke up. However, when I logged into Total Wireless account, it says I have no devices, no lines. Also, on my account, it listed a random number as my personal contact number. I'm quite confused because this is my first time signing up with TW or porting a number.
Edit 3: Had CS help me creating a new account associating with my number because they couldn't use the email on the problem account. So, that account still exists, without any info but my email.

I also ordered yesterday around 4 pm. I don't see any update on tracking or any IMEI created as yet. The status says pending remote fulfillment.

I ordered earlier in the morning yesterday so tracking info became available later in the day. If yours was ordered in the afternoon, recommend checking today for any updates.

This is the first time I did this kind of deal. I ported in a Google Voice number. I want to know, after the 2 month period, when we end and stop paying for the service. What will happen to the Google Voice or number we ported in? I'd like to keep the number to use on my GV because, although the number has an out of state area code, the last 5 digits matches exactly my zip code. How would I go about that? Do I port it back into GV while service is active (before 2 month period) or after service ended? TIA
$20 to port a number to GV. Port in a disposable number from Tello to Total. From what I've read Verizon has a grace period to port out your number after your account isn't active. Look into it.

Thanks. So, after I paid GV $3 to unlock my number and tried to port it, it didn't go smoothly as I had hoped. I ended up with a new number instead of using my GV number. It's now remaining unlocked. Idk if I should lock it again? Would I need to pay again if I need to unlock it in the future?
I do not understand about locking. GV says "Lock the number with your Voice account to prevent someone else from taking it." Can someone claim my number while unlocked, even if I am actively using it?

Glitch or not, apparently total wireless is allowing the option to activate a new number without porting in. Since the deal requires porting an existing number, would selecting to activate with new number create an issue later on?

Bought one of these in Aug. Just unlocked automatically after 60 days of paid service. It's great phone to load up content on the microSD. Great display, good sound, headphone jack and it's lightweight.
Could you share what service provider and network you are using this phone on? I am hoping this would work fine on US Mobile's Verizon and AT&T networks. Also what model number is the phone. I assume it would be XT2517-1 but would be curious to know if there is another variation of this phone being sold by TW.

Hmm. Very odd that still there is no update on the shipping close to 48 hrs after ordering. Wonder if we need to contact the CS regarding this.
