During Prime Day the 1TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus M.2 SSD is available for $59.99 with Amazon Prime. Most other stores, like Samung's own store, sell it for $69.99 or more.
  • GROUNDBREAKING READ/WRITE SPEEDS: The 990 EVO Plus features the latest NAND memory, boosting sequential read/write speeds up to 7,250/6,300MB/s. Ideal for huge file transfers and finishing tasks faster than ever.
  • LARGE STORAGE CAPACITY: Harness the full power of your drive with Intelligent TurboWrite2.0's enhanced large-file performance—now available in a 4TB capacity.
  • EXCEPTIONAL THERMAL CONTROL: Keep your cool as you work—or play—without worrying about overheating or battery life. The efficiency-boosting nickel-coated controller allows the 990 EVO Plus to utilize less power while achieving similar performance.
  • OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE: Optimized to support the latest technology for SSDs—990 EVO Plus is compatible with PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2. This means you get more bandwidth and higher data processing and performance.
  • NEVER MISS AN UPDATE: Your 990 EVO Plus SSD performs like new with the always up-to-date Magician Software. Stay up to speed with the latest firmware updates, extra encryption, and continual monitoring of your drive health–it works like a charm.

I would say the retail price of $105 is kinda bs. Its been priced at $69 for some time. Still $9 is not nothing.

Camelizer says this is the lowest price on Amazon regardless of seller of all time. Prior lowest price was $64.99 on August 18, 2025.

Picked one up for the laptop I have that only came with a 256GB. Dual booting Windows and Linux isn't impossible, but it's much nicer with 1TB of space.

So this at $180 (w/10% Prime back) vs. $184 for 4TB 990 Pro (refurb) via Best Buy eBay? https://slickdeals.net/f/18679513-certified-refurbished-samsung-ssd-sale-2tb-990-evo-plus-88-2tb-990-pro-w-heatsink-104-more-free-shipping

It's only a "deal" if you want or need the larger capacity and are willing, in this case, to spend 3 times as much to get it.

The used like new was ~$42. If it is what it says it is and works it's a far better deal. Sure. There is some risk of hassle with a swapped return or a fake drive, etc but if you get the drive and everything is good I don't see a reason to pay almost 50% more.

I agree. I dont either, but they said they wished they had waited thus implying that they would've rather purchased this deal instead so I offered a simple solution.
