For anyone unfamiliar, this unit is a DAS (Direct-Attached Storage), not a NAS. That means it has no OS and does not support running RAID internally.
It's designed for accessing multiple drives directly from a PC or for adding extra drives to an existing NAS/server. It's not ideal if you are looking to set up a standalone storage "server" for the first time.
