I'll probably pick this up for V-rising alone. I already beat Atomic Heart (I liked it) and I already own System Shock.

after researching the issues people are having with signing up and then them saying they are out of keys I dont want to mess with them. And lots of people saying they are charged even when they pause the account.

that happened to me just last month. I was sure that i canceled my subscription (as opposed to skipping a month which I have been doing for 4 months up to this point) and they charged me regardless.

Best month they've had maybe all year. Still not great for me since I have AH and SS on PS5 already.

I remember the times when I bought every game that hit Popupar or FP. Stopped after realizing how much I spent in total over the years for games I never had the intention of playing. Was anybody like me and had FOMO or was addicted to game collecting?

You probably got tricked at one of those 3 or 4 prompts where it looks like you are confirming to skip a month but it reality you are actually cancelling your attempt at cancelling. I really hate how they do that.....seems shady and has tricked me more than once (always look out for the email that confirms you skipped a month).

Now for the other person's complaint, no one is getting conned out of keys. You might get a delayed key by a few days or maybe a week if you wait until the very end of a bundle to activate (or buy) but not since any of the mega spur of the moment bundles, like the first Ukraine one, was anyone missing keys for any real period of time. And even those people got every single key at the end....ask me how I know.

3.....2.....1.....someone is going to post a 2 year old reddit rant or a new one alluding to that situation

They recently informed me that two of my keys from Choice bundles in 2024 would never be fulfilled and gave me $3 in store credit in their stead. It's key to reveal the keys earlier in the month rather than later. It's all some scammy bs for sure.

Any chance you would be willing to shoot me over that System Shock key if you do? lol

I don't get it either, like waiting 6 hours to pick up a pizza you ordered for immediate pickup...at some point it is going to disappear.

FWIW, people act like these digital games are magic items that can be printed at whim by the likes of Humble or Fanatical. When in reality they are unique #'s that are allocated (many expire) and those allocations can be revoked by the publishers if unused. Which makes perfect sense when one of the biggest ways of laundering money in 2025 is buying and reselling of digital goods. Not to mention, it also drives down pricing. Key wholesalers buy huge chunks of keys in these bundles then resell later for increased profit...eroding the retail price for the devs and publishers.

Don't blame Humble, blame the resellers and publishers. And don't be dumb, if you want a key, activate it ASAP.

Oh! I have Caravan SandWitch and V Rising on my wishlist! I've never done this before… are these games yours to keep, or are they like PS+ and they go away when the subscription price rises and you stop renewing?

(BTW, I didn't check out on the Steam fall sale in time, but V Rising by itself was $17.99 during the sale).

Yours to keep even if you don't continue your subscription. As mentioned earlier though, be sure to activate sooner rather than later.

For those saying you get charged even though you either paused or canceled the sub, you're suppose to get a email saying you canceled or paused the sub. Save the emails to prove your case. And actually make sure you got the emails before saying they're trying to scam you.
