These are relatively good speakers, just not at $168 because there are other better options. The gen1 version of these, which were also good, were only $100-$120 on sale making them exceptional for the price. If these were ~$130 they would be a good buy. Otherwise you can look at Cambridge SX50 for a little more or Polk XT20 when they go on sale. Neumi BS5 if you're looking for cheaper, but they aren't great at louder volumes. Also these are a new version so no clue how they "Haven't seen this price in years". Even if talking about the old version, they were $125 back in december if you search old deals here.

Entry level 2-way trash…..Sony's are 3 way and much better.
