I just redeemed the Sams Club deal this morning with an active Ultimate subscription. These are the rates I got:
3 month card: 33 days ($22.48 or $0.68/day)
6 month card: 56 days ($34.98 or $0.62/day)
12 month card: 91 days ($53.98 or $0.59/day)

Ouch. Those are pretty low..

i just got this deal last week. i am waiting for my Ultimate to expire at the end of the month so I can redeem this to get the full 12. i rather have 12 months of core than 3 months of ult at the price

The conversion rate is posted on Microsoft's website. 3 months of Game Pass Core / Essentials gets you 32 Days of Ultimate.

Buy Game Pass Essentials off Eneba. You will pay less than $9/mo to extend GPU. I extended mine out and it came to $8.82/mo.

All you have to do:

1) Buy codes off Eneba like you would regularly do off any other site. Accept the popups that say the Xbox codes cannot be redeemed in the USA.

2) Log into xbox.com/redeem.

3) Turn VPN on and select the location of where the codes come from. Mine for example was the Middle East. So I set my VPN to UAE. ProtonVPN is currently $1 for the first month if one is needed.

4) Redeem codes on website.

5) Turn off VPN

crazy, 3 years ago I was able to stack 3 month codes from cdkeys for 3 years of gamepass ultimate for $60. I've been xbox and playstation consumer since the beginning but all these price increases for games, consoles, and subscription services are pushing me to pc gaming. Would've never considered it previously

I was using one x to stream gamepass ultimate, play games collection of free monthly games over the years from games with gold. only issue now they are making series x specific games which was expected eventually. I got a free upgrade to gears of war reloaded. I can stream it off game pass ultimate but to download and play I'll need a current gen console. same for mlb the show 25.

i fail to understand the reason to even have core. the games they provide almost never change and it is cheaper to buy them. any reason for it to be more than $5 a month?
