The next version of these tags have been coming soon for so long, eventually it will be right. But, in the meantime this is a nice deal for what can really save you time and frustration.

I would also point out that someone prior stated the longer range is a benefit for 16,17 iPhones only.

FYI, Apple will be releasing a version two of these shortly which will have longer range better Battery Life and perhaps a few more features they'll also be thinner and smaller so this is just an attempt to move old inventory there's still decent. I just can't keep them in batteries .

Nice Deal! I already have AirTags but this is a steal if you are anxious about losing expensive items. AirTags are amazing and I do recommend.

Umm...I will pass from boosting uncle Jeff 2" off the ground with this purchase. I would rather support a B&M like Costco or Bestbuy.

BTW - Do any of you believe the rumors that Airtag 2.0 will have non-replaceable batteries?

basically, Costco finally pricematched Amazon and Best Buy during "prime week"... BB had sent me a $10 certificate randomly, so I bought from there. As for "new tags coming soon..," when they come out, I will decide if the new ones are worth $29 to me. In the mean time, these are definitely worth $16 to me

I have looked into this. Can be used in cars. Keep in mind, these work via bluetooth connecting to nearby iPhones. If there are no iPhones near by which is probably unlikely, we wouldn't know where the air tag is.
