Just a heads up. When entering personal info on order, do not capitalize your first or last name. I read about this from another thread and it seems to work at keeping their security system from raising false security flags. Also used chrome incognito and VPN. Order went thru without a hitch.

I want to remind everyone that there is no need to port in a number for this deal. Slickdeals staff replaced my original post with their own that states a port is required. SD staff is wrong on this.

The $99.99 + $55 deat requires you to port in a non T-Mobile phone number.
Thank you! I've been wanting to take advantage of an iPhone deal, so they hold their value so well and you can trade towards a newer one. Trying to decide if I should go with this now.

Yes, it unlocks one year after the activation, so activate it and let it sleep. Do not erase the eSim, otherwise it will never unlock. After it unlocks, you can erase it if you want.
Damn for my iPhone 13 I got a couple of months back, I had to reset network settings and remove esim because I couldn't get MKSD ULTRA to work. What should I do? Do I have to call Metro to manually unlock once it's been a year?

So if I'm already a Metro customer, can I add a second $65 line, cancel it after a month, and then switch my existing line to this RAZR, which is Metro-locked for 12 months, which I don't mind because I'm a Metro customer? And no fees to cancel? (they mention that you'd need to pay $50 to switch to a cheaper plan, which shouldn't apply to me because i'd be cancelling)...
Or do I need to pretend I'm a new customer? the language on the Metro site is very confusing/contradictory... I"m currently on the $25 unlimited plan.

Despite what others have said I think you will be fine. I ported my metro number out of an iPhone and it still unlocked back when it was just 6 months to unlock.

Checkout makes you agree to the following: " By checking this box I agree to ... If I am purchasing a discounted Device and do not maintain service on the activated line for a minimum of three months, I will owe the full MSRP (less any amount already paid)," So I would need to keep 3 months of service @ $60 per month plus the $100 for phone comes out to $280. Then I would need to buy service on the 12th month adding another $60 because it has to be active service during unlocking per their policy. Not familiar with Boost's actual practices so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Boost Mobile has the razr 2025 for $99. But it looks like you have to have the $60 a month plan for 3 months.
