Here's my instructions that I modified from a post that was posted before (it said wifi off but didn't work for me).

1. Download the Moto unlock tools
2. In developer settings enable ADP
3. Once the phone is connected to the computer (usb and file transfer mode), launch the app, turn off the metro PCS sim and wifi.
4. Click Unlock (which opens up screenshare on you computer (u can make it bigger by putting 980 on the max size,
5. Internet sharing - Click Ok on the Connection Request for Gnirehtet, Also clicking Turn on WIFI and you should see connections in that ghir box
6. Click Open Metro unlock app (WiFi is ON at this point)
7. Click Phone Permanent Unlock then reboot, double check unlock status in about phone

Notes: Idk why the original instructions said have wifi turned off. Because it worked when I had it on. Also, I did have my tmobile sim in the phone and notice the unlock app had errors and switch Metro unlock 180days, but the permanant unlock was gone. I did click reset metro app and reopen Metro Unlock app to see the permanent unlock again.
If someone on A15 can try this and let me know if it works. My phone was on A14 (phone box dated 1/16/2025)
Thanks for the steps, i had tried earlier today with A15 and a lot of different options of Wifi off and on. None worked.
Apparently this tool was released in Feb this year and the march update has the issue fixed

Edit: Doesn't work with Android 15 March 2025 Security Update
In addition, I noticed some difference between these two phone. When the 1st razr connected to the computer, if I select file transfer, the Moto unlock tool can't recognize the phone. I had to select no data transfer. When the 2nd razr connected to the computer, I can select file transfer and the Moto unlock tool can recognize the phone.
I do have a question to shortyman24, because we haven't activated the Metro-esim to unlock the phone, now since it's permanently unlock, can I activate the Metro-esim and install it on the phone? Would it impact the unlock? Thanks again, shortyman24!
