Just a heads up. When entering personal info on order, do not capitalize your first or last name. I read about this from another thread and it seems to work at keeping their security system from raising false security flags. Also used chrome incognito and VPN. Order went thru without a hitch.

I want to remind everyone that there is no need to port in a number for this deal. Slickdeals staff replaced my original post with their own that states a port is required. SD staff is wrong on this.

Here's my instructions that I modified from a post that was posted before (it said wifi off but didn't work for me).

1. Download the Moto unlock tools
2. In developer settings enable ADP
3. Once the phone is connected to the computer (usb and file transfer mode), launch the app, turn off the metro PCS sim and wifi.
4. Click Unlock (which opens up screenshare on you computer (u can make it bigger by putting 980 on the max size,
5. Internet sharing - Click Ok on the Connection Request for Gnirehtet, Also clicking Turn on WIFI and you should see connections in that ghir box
6. Click Open Metro unlock app (WiFi is ON at this point)
7. Click Phone Permanent Unlock then reboot, double check unlock status in about phone

Notes: Idk why the original instructions said have wifi turned off. Because it worked when I had it on. Also, I did have my tmobile sim in the phone and notice the unlock app had errors and switch Metro unlock 180days, but the permanant unlock was gone. I did click reset metro app and reopen Metro Unlock app to see the permanent unlock again.

Here are pics.
If someone on A15 can try this and let me know if it works. My phone was on A14 (phone box dated 1/16/2025)

Thanks for the steps, i had tried earlier today with A15 and a lot of different options of Wifi off and on. None worked.

Apparently this tool was released in Feb this year and the march update has the issue fixed

If someone on A15 can try this and let me know if it works. My phone was on A14 w/ Jan 2025 Security Update (phone box dated 1/16/2025)

Edit: Doesn't work with Android 15 March 2025 Security Update
Thanks a lot. I was able to permanent unlock my 2nd razr (A14, security update 6/1/2024, phone box dated also in 2024). Something to share, at beginning it didn't work by following the above steps. Then I noticed the airplane mode is shown up on the shared screenshots. So I turned on the airplane mode thru the process and it worked. Fortunately my 2nd razr came yesterday with A14 and the old security update. But my 1st razr came earlier with A14, security update 3/1/2025 and phone box dated in 2025, I was unable to unlock.
In addition, I noticed some difference between these two phone. When the 1st razr connected to the computer, if I select file transfer, the Moto unlock tool can't recognize the phone. I had to select no data transfer. When the 2nd razr connected to the computer, I can select file transfer and the Moto unlock tool can recognize the phone.
I do have a question to shortyman24, because we haven't activated the Metro-esim to unlock the phone, now since it's permanently unlock, can I activate the Metro-esim and install it on the phone? Would it impact the unlock? Thanks again, shortyman24!

So the screenshots are mixed, i only screenshot some screens before and after i saw the unlock. The pc program i had screenshot later on to figure out the steps. Since after the unlock i cant open up the unlock app anymore. I haven't activated esim yet but it should not be a problem since its already permanently unlocked. So its confirms it only works with A14 and A15 users are SOL.

I was finally able to unlock one of the two I ordered. Thank you so much! Currently working on the second one. It didn't work on the first try, I had to be persistent but it paid off.
