The Motorola Razr 2024 receives support with three years of OS updates and four years of security updates.
To check for and install updates, go to Settings > System updates > Check for updates on your phone.
Updates are also pushed out automatically when available, but it's recommended to manually check periodically

There is really not much difference between the 2025 Razr vs. the 2024 Razr. The processor MediaTek Dimensity 7400X vs. 7300X is just a slight improvement. The battery is 4500mAh vs. 4200mAh.
I am actually very impressed by the processor MediaTek Dimensity 7300X. I installed a lot of emulators such as RetroArch, AetherSX2, Citra MMJ, Dreamcast, PPSSPP and even Yuzu can run some light weight Switch games. The best part is the Razr runs the emulators cool unlike other phones with the Snapdragon 8 processor. It is kind of neat running the emulators on the 3.6" external screen.

I would take the 2024 Razr for free over the $470 2025 Razr.
Remember people mentioned the limit of 4, but it's seems to be 3 for me. Or is my address got blacklisted? Give up on this Moto phone, but want to place another order for iPhone 13. Will see how it goes once I got a number to port in, as the iPhone 13 deals requies porting in.

Here's my instructions that I modified from a post that was posted before (it said wifi off but didn't work for me).
1. Download the Moto unlock tools
2. In developer settings enable ADP
3. Once the phone is connected to the computer (usb and file transfer mode), launch the app, turn off the metro PCS sim and wifi.
4. Click Unlock (which opens up screenshare on you computer (u can make it bigger by putting 980 on the max size,
5. Internet sharing - Click Ok on the Connection Request for Gnirehtet, Also clicking Turn on WIFI and you should see connections in that ghir box
6. Click Open Metro unlock app (WiFi is ON at this point)
7. Click Phone Permanent Unlock then reboot, double check unlock status in about phone
Notes: Idk why the original instructions said have wifi turned off. Because it worked when I had it on. Also, I did have my tmobile sim in the phone and notice the unlock app had errors and switch Metro unlock 180days, but the permanant unlock was gone. I did click reset metro app and reopen Metro Unlock app to see the permanent unlock again.
