Price is good but 3.3 average review isn't. Available near me but I am not sure if it's worth it.

Reviews change with the price. If this cost 100 bucks, it would get 5 stars. If it cost 50k, it would get none. Those reviews are based on a larger price tag than its now available for

I just got a call saying they can't sell this as craftsman issued a buyback for the tractor.

Wow. That's some BS. Unless it's for a safety recall, they should honor the price listed on the website if they have it in the store. Perhaps there's a law in your state that compels them to do so? I know, it's a hell of a lot of extra work, but then again, it's like 75% off.

Same here... I wonder if its because half of the reviews says that it doesnt charge and battery is dead. Typical scumbag Lowe's. They should just go out of business already. That store is trash

In your dreams maybe. All the 42" deck battery tractors are $3k+ normally, even the Kobalt own brand version.

The Craftsman electric mowers — both the zero-turn and riding ones — are basically just rebranded Cub Cadets. The system's super proprietary. The Cub Cadet version actually went on a crazy sale at Home Depot about two years ago for like $600.

How difficult it is to modify this, i mean to just take out the lawnmowing parts and use it as a toy car for kids.

I wouldn't use this as a toy, you can remove the mower, it's not too bad I suppose. It'll throw an error but work just fine. It has an overly complex power on sequence (pull the key out, put it in, push a button, wait, push another button, then it beeps and you can drive it or something like that, I don't remember exactly), and weird pedals, kids will figure it out no problem I'm sure, but it's not just jump on and 'hit the gas' Trying to turn it into a gocart or something would be awkward imho.
Biggest problem I've had with them is noone will fix them, ALL the dealers here say they didn't want to pay for the training, they didn't sell well. At $1283 that may not be a major issue, but ours didn't last a year without problems noone could fix.
