Although this deal may be OK, I agree with RusselJohnson and his sentiment about Slickdeals. Unfortunately, from a community platform, it has become front page for shill deals of (mostly) Amazon and the likes. And their deals are for savings like $5 to $3. Whopping $2 savings. See the front page, and count Amazon "deals". Ever since the original creator of SD sold it, the site lost its community feeling. Previously, deals were posted and voted (thus promoted to Front Page) by people like me and you. Now, the moderators just slap a front page deal of a product that will bring the most profit to SD. Sadly, the greed in people killed what once was a place where community came together to help itself (and have fun in the process). I now come from time to time to read the funny comments (unlike mine ).

slickdeals is just a coupon book now. zero comments and a "deal" is frontpaged.

It's a great time for someone create an alternative slickdeal. The original slickdeal is dead or expired!

I don't understand. It's a pair of decent-looking adidas shoes for $27 shipped. What's the issue?

So where is the new spot? There's gotta be a new site.

You know I went looking for and alternative to slick deals recently myself, and it almost looks like there isn't one. Several members on Reddit follow certain people on Instagram, however it looks like you have to message them for the deal each time, which is something I'm not going to do.

The deals do seem less great than they used to be, and Slickdeals might be pushing too hard for quantity at the expense of quality, but I think other factors play a roll in what you are noticing, like the economy, and Amazon's growth to 200 million Prime subscribers. Deals are still voted to the front page based on votes since the most popular deals are the most profitable for everyone; but the slickest deals don't last long, so you might miss them if you're not around for those deals that save a couple of bucks.

Nothing against the shoe, but shop Simon has been terrible lately. Mostly expect your order to be cancelled after you order. I suspect they are trying to fake these deals to get more ppl into their new rewards program.
On a separate note, 100% agree with opinion about slick deals just dumping a lot of shill deals.

I'm still very grateful that in the past SD community has showed me how to order boxes of paper for almost next to nothing, which helped my small business that used a lot of them. And I'll never forget scoring a 3 in 1 laser printer with adf for $25.

you do realize going from $5 to $3 is 40% savings correct?

I got these shoes last time for the same price. they are super comfortable. they may not last long like the ultra boosts(I used them before) but these are no less(may be little less cushion). personally I liked them a lot and wearing them for daily walk. nice arch support too!
