the A25 performed better than the Moto G Power: from here: http://www.pcmag.com/reviews/sams...axy-a25-5g The jump in data from 1.5GB to 4.5GB makes this a nice deal.
On Geekbench 6, a suite of tests that evaluates raw computing power, the Galaxy A25 got a single-core score of 964 and a multi-core score of 2,058. The Moto G Power, which has a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chip, scored 889 and 2,345 on the same tests.
On the PCMark Work 3.0 test, which simulates general mobile tasks, the Galaxy A25 reached 12,718. That's far better than both the Moto G Power (11,708) and the Nord N30 (10,245).
To test graphics performance, I ran the GFXBench Aztec Ruins benchmark at a resolution of 2,560 by 1,440 pixels. Here, the Galaxy A25 managed 10fps. The Moto G Power fell slightly behind (7.2fps), as did the Nord N30 (7.8fps), while the Nuu B30 Pro did slightly better (11fps).

Memory
6GB RAM | 128GB Storage (up to 1TB on microSD card)

Assuming this is the same phone TRACFONE has on their website.

Which other carrier do you suggest? Most other carriers require a contract. Tracfone doesn't.
My kids are on Tello, US Mobile, and Boost, depending on their usage needs. None of these carriers require a contract, but we did go with an annual plan for US Mobile when the price was greatly reduced recently. Not sure I would recommend Boost, but it has worked fine for him. I think he will be switching to a free line at Xfinity soon. Tello and US Mobile have been great.

Does the minutes come on a Sim? Can you switch phones and use the minutes and data on a different unlocked phone?
It is not recommended to move the SIM card to a different device. Some people have no problem, while others have had everything zeroed out. Does your unlocked phone have an eSIM? You could activate the eSIM with a transfer of service from the HSN device. Or you could purchase a BYOP SIM and activate that with a transfer. But if you are not interested in this device, there are definitely cheaper options on QVC and HSN.

I like the phone and wanted to unlock it and use it with a different carrier or give it to a friend who needs a new phone. But I wanted to keep the minutes and data for a backup on maybe a cheaper phone I have for emergency or extra use.

I see it says reserve and cards. Does that mean you can use the card portion on a different phone? Is reserve locked to the phone?

No matter what phone no matter what deal, you have the same bitchers complaining why the budget phone doesn't perform like an iPhone 10x the price.

Lol. Day after day after day.

Tracfone keeps stealing my minutes and data every few months and I have to call and waste hours to get them to fix it. Anyone else having this issue? Just seems to randomly happen. I still use it at least once a week or two so it can't be from inactivity. Frown

I have the A36 and there is no lag. Also have the A16 and it's fine. I had the 2024 Moto G Power and it's a good phone, but really not any faster than the Samsung's. I'll take the AMLOED screen and better cameras of the Samsungs over the Moto's and bonus is 5 years of updates for the A16 and 6 years for the A36. Comparison of the A36 vs Moto G Stylus 2025. Spoiler..the A36 wins by a lot. nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/samsung-galaxy-a36-5g-vs-motorola-moto-g-stylus-5g-2025 EDIT: the reason I mention the A36 is because it's free with Total port in. I was out the door at $49.50 from a dealer.
Same I got 3 Galaxy A36 from Cricket for $200 with port in. I love how the Galaxy A36 looks, feels like a $1,000 dollars phone, but no headphone jack and no SD card slow, and only 128GB storage and 6GB RAM. that's way to low IMO. Speed is ok but I believe all the SAMSUNG interface make their phone very slow. Feels really bad optimize.

Ok, so for your situation, you should activate the phone with the included SIM to start the activation process. To be safe, you should keep the service until it unlocks on day 60 (or until points vest on day 61). Then you can transfer the service to your backup device. If the backup device is a Tracfone, you should be able to activate the SIM in the backup device with a transfer of service. Or you can buy the BYOP SIM. That frees up the Samsung for a different carrier. And I think you are right that anything sent on cards can be used with a different line, but I don't think HSN has sent service cards in years. I hope somebody reports back on what they get.

soldout
I just got off a call with HSN and was told the phone is not sold out and the deal is active. They still have over 1,000 available except one color is no longer available.

If you received a cancellation notice (I did), or when you get to the final screen to review the order and can't go further, you may be locked out because of conflicting information in their system. I think they cross-reference your address, but I'm not sure.

This happened to me because, to qualify as a new customer, I used a different email and phone number. The rep transferred me to Security to verify my information and "merged my accounts." They could only find an old account from 5 years ago so I got the discount. If you still want this deal, you may want to call HSN (800) 933-2887 to confirm.

Tracfone unlocks in 60 days
Last year I got the Samsung A14 from QVC with a 1year data with an expectation of 60 day unlock. It'll be a year by the end of this Oct but still unable to unlock. Went to Tracfone unlock page but still keeps saying it cannot be unlock. Any suggestions? Thanks.

From WikiHow: https://www.wikihow.com/Unlock-a-...g-Tracfone

Step 1. Get your unlock code from TracFone. Call its customer service hotline at 1-800-867-7183, anytime between 8 AM to 11:45 PM (EST), any day of the week. When you get to talk with a representative, tell them that you need an unlock code for your phone.

See the link for the next steps. Good luck!

I got the A14 as well from QVC last year and recall it did unlock after 60-days. I moved the Tracfone number to an iPhone eSIM and gave away the phone to a family member.
Call TracFone support as recommended in the earlier post. It should've been automatic.

Those steps above are needed if phone doesn't auto unlock after 60 days. What does "Network Unlock" settings show on those phones?
  • Go to the Home screen. To open the menu, swipe up on the screen.Choose Settings > Connections > More connection settings > Network Unlock.

Got UPS Ground tracking info yesterday and expecting phone later this week. A popular credit card CB site added $25 rewards to my account.

I don't plan on activating the plan just yet but will follow up on the phone once received. Planning to use this one year plan to park my floating number that I use among carriers for port-in promos for trade-in deals and 60-day unlocks.
