Check the reviews. Many get fake sour patch, not the real thing.

That 3rd pic: Cookies with sour patch kids, under the dough too. Wouldn't they liquify from the heat (before causing instant diabetes?)

I'm guessing they're added halfway through baking. I can tell you I love cookies -- I love sour patch kids -- and I very much dislike sour patch kid cookies.
