About this Album:
  • Recorded throughout 2003, Blink182 marks a departure from the band's earlier work, infusing experimental elements into their usual pop punk sound, inspired by lifestyle changes (the band members all became fathers before the album was released) and side projects. The record features a collaboration with The Cure frontman Robert Smith. Lead singles 'Feeling This' and 'I Miss You' received the most radio airplay of the four singles released and peaked high on Billboard charts.

One of the most important bands in history, and one of my favorite albums. People can hate all they want, but Blink is in a league of their own. They've inspired countless pop-punk bands, and even other genre bands who use elements of theirs. There have been so many copycats, but no one has captured what they have. They've been my favorite band for probably 25 years. I'm not saying they're the best band. That would be ridiculous. They're just my favorite. It's ok to have a favorite band that isn't filled with the greatest musicians of all time. People act like you have to only enjoy bands with the best musicians in the world. I've been playing guitar for 28 years. I can play Eddie Van Halen's stuff, as well as many other legends. My favorite guitarists are Eddie Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Guthrie Govan and.. wait for it... Tom DeLonge. Yeah. The guy from Blink-182. The vast majority of my playing/writing has been influenced by Blink. No one else writes like them. They try, but they fail. You don't have to only love the best musicians in the world. Everyone in Blink is great at what they do. It's still crazy to me that they're not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but The Hall is also famously ridiculous with who it inducts, so I guess it makes sense.

IMHO "Violence" (Track #4 on this album) is Blink-182's best song. 🤘
