I have a bunch of these from several years ago, curious if any recent purchasers who've used these over a long period of time can confirm these are still the same quality (I'm finding many things aren't).

I've used these for many years and always try to keep some on hand. Far better than household paper towels for my "garage" projects. They usually cost quite a bit more than regular quality paper towels but are so much better that they are worth it.

both work out to being $1.89 per roll.

Costco sells 10 for $19.99 ($1.99/roll) but price can vary in warehouse. This is a good buy for HD as it is much more accessible than warehouses.

Are these more like enhanced perchy paper towels, or more like fabric like common cleaning towels made of polyester/cotton? How are these any different from the White ones that are 0.98 a roll? Thanks

These are much heavier duty than regular paper towels. they're great for doing oil changes or working with any type of grease as they're very absorbent.

$17.79 in store at Costco for 10 rolls / 550 towels. So $1.78 per roll, so slightly better - one extra roll at Costco for $0.82 more.

Edit: When they are on sale at Costco, they are usually a $4 off bringing the price to $13.79. That is when you need to stock up Big Grin

I am still using some old stock that's at least 6-7 years ago. What quality difference have you notice? Size? thickness?

I don't know if i've ever seen them that low but at that price i'd get the whole bundle and give some away to neighbors as I don't have the room to store that many at one time. But they're very handy to have in the garage.

I bought a couple of rolls at my local Oreilly like a week ago since I didn't want to drive to my storage unit to pickup more from my costco stash. Let me tell you... they are NOT the same now.
The old stock I have from costco has a much thicker and softer texture than the new roll I purchased from Oreilly. Old ones are thicker and softer material, the new roll was thinner and much rougher material. New ones were also a darker color vs the prior ones.
I was doing an oil change on my wife's car and I also realized the new ones were basically a failure as far as absorbency too! I was VERY disappointed in the new ones that's for sure.
So 2 possibilities here... Oreilly gets a different product with the same name on it, or Scott changed the quality of the product. Either way it sucks.

Tariffs man. Nobody wants to talk about it but that's the reason why. Even if it is not, that will be the indirect scapegoat to raise prices for any other company not directly in line of fire

I've been paying nearly $3-4/roll to keep in the garage for 10+ years now.

Is $2 a big deal? Nah. But it is a deal.
