I have the non-LCD version attached to the garage fridge. If you're okay with needing to use your phone to check the temperatures it's a cheaper option. I do recommend waiting for black friday, though. I vaguely remember paying $30 for the ones I have.
And despite reports that these sensors will work with the Gateway 2.0 that comes with the newer rectangular Govee leak detectors, I was never able to get them to pair with it.

Here's a link to the non-LCD version which is currently on sale for $30: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZCQFZB6

As for battery life, the non-LCD should last 12-24+ months whereas the LCD version should last 6-12 months. Besides LCD and battery life, they're essentially the same. IMO, I'd pick battery life over display as the alarm is more important. But others who use it for aquarium or specific temps at a glance, display is more worthwhile.

I use a typical sub $10 Bluetooth govee unit for the standard fridge. It works fine.

You place it mid shelfes and adjust the temps accordingly to keep 37-39 depending on the amount of food in there.

You need the probe type to check the freezers that could be sub zero

External display is good for checking temps without opening the fridge, like in power outages when even the app will go down (i think, not sure if it works local if your hub and router are on UPS)

If you have a zigbee system (like smartthings) I got the new wire Sonoff SNZB-02LD thermometer:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FCG8N5NC/

Only $20, and works great for my deep freezer.

The problem with Bluetooth is that you will need to be within its range to get any alert so this won't work for remote monitoring. You need the wifi hub.

Another thing that's bad about this is that the wire coming out from the fridge/freezer. The gasket does not seal well. Especially with the freezer, the ice builds up due to heat coming through the unsealed gasket area.

I went with the other WiFi Thermometer Hygrometer for my deep freezer.

These are working very well. It takes about 10 seconds to update the data from the start, but it's been working flawlessly.
Looks like it's on sale for $52.xx with the coupon (listed on the Amazon page)

I really like the idea of this, but having something disrupt the seal around the door is not a great idea.

Just wondering why you'd need this. Do you need to know the exact temp. of your fridge?

I have Govee water checker thing under my fridge in case it dies but trying to figure out why I'd need to know the exact temp.

If you are breastfeeding or your partner is, you need to monitor temps, or you should, to make sure it lasts. I have a pair of wireless ones that interface with a little table top display next to my sink. Actually let me know my fridge was being weird this morning as the temps were a little high, my fridge would just display the set temp not actual unless you used the buttons.
