My PX701 woot one died after 2 years. Replaced the bulb and ballast board as recommended by their techs. Still a paperweight.

Even at Woot prices these look like they are totally over-priced. In a world where one can buy a true 1080p projector for $50 these are underwhelming. At $300 they could at least be auto-focus and auto-keystone adjustment.

Those $50 projectors are a joke. They could claim 1080p but it will look like 480p because their lens can only keep the center in focus. The projectors lacks offset. You will need to project 90 degree dead center for a proper rectangular image. Keystone correction will only make it worse. They have fan that sounds like a jet engine because they need to boost their laughable brightness. Even then, they are dark and only work in a dark room or color is washed out.

The only thing they are good at, is software. Many comes with codec that can play many video format from USB and they support Mirrorcast (not Chromecast no matter what they claim) and sometimes AirPlay.

I paid under 40 for (including tax) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QMRR..._title_0_0 It blew my mind coming from an actual dell 480p projector . I kept believing people like you. . The cheap one is quieter, sharper, better color, quieter. Yes the corners are not as sharp as the middle and the "keystone" is only up and down (no side to side). It looks dang good compared to my ol' Dell I was using.

I see vertical keystone only.. Assuming no horizontal? I am a newb so not sure if they are separate functions or if "keystone" covers the gamut. This will be offset for a golf simulator. Need good amount of lumen and will be a large 120 inch screen in a garage. You think this is underkill for my needs?

It shows $56 now and no way it is 9500 lumens.
Me and my friend tried some of those ~$100 ones and the apps were cool but the brightness and focus were lacking. Also, one had a thumbprint on the inside of one of the lenses. One listed 9000 lumens but was the same brightness as the other that said it was 200 lumens. Ones said it was 1080p but it was just down-converting the 1080p signal to 720p native.

I've tried this exact same projector, and it was a complete disappointment compared to my older one. It can only focus in the center and is blurry at the top and bottom. If you're looking for a projector to watch a movie occasionally, it might be worth it. However, if you're seeking quality, you'll need a reputable brand.

Bought a replacement. Px701, even tho I knew I'd regret it. Arrived defective, doesn't show any inputs and black lines all over the ViewSonic test screen.

Most theaters an arcade games (golf) that project hang the projector up high in the middle. Thus only vertical in many projectors. You would be looking at some higher end stuff to get entry level horizontal adjustment. And iirc it's still shoddy digital keystone you'd want to adjust as little as possible.
