Is this a good size for sourdough bread? The picture has it fitting a whole chicken, so I'm not sure if it's too big.

7.3 quarts is huge. I would use a 4 quart for that, ynless you're making huge loafs

I think you can make this size work as I used to use a 7 qt. Personally, I think getting just the cast iron is better, because baking sourdough requires such high temps, it makes the enamel look very bad/stained. I currently use this 5 qt, and prefer it over this. https://a.co/d/2etur5C

The old Amazon dutch ovens were made by Lodge. Don't know if that's still true. In for 6qt. Thanks.

bought the 4.3qt version of this on Woot! 3 years ago. def worth it. it is still in perfect condition! we've been wanting a bigger one and would you look at that!
