Maybe I judged the CR lead piece too harshly.

It's about time for protein powder to drop in price. They've been climbing for years

Kind of misleading pricing, it takes two scoops for a serving so even though the price per lb seems decent it's half as many servings.

$12 for 20 servings is still 60¢ per serving: the number of scoops required is irrelevant to how many servings there are--it takes more plant material to produce the same amount of protein as whey, so the serving size is almost 50% larger.

I just don't see the labeling as being misleading. A serving is a serving: the product weight doesn't determine that.

This is not fully digestible, either. You're getting 25g of protein per serving which they show is 38%DV, but a fully digestible protein would be 50%DV. So, it's cheaper, for sure, but if you're not vegan/vegetarian/lactose intolerant, whey is a better value proposition.

Thanks for doing the price per serving I guess. That's cool but not really relevant to what I'm posting. As you may not have realized when you contradicted yourself, "the serving is just a serving" and "product weight doesn't determine that" but the serving size is in grams, which is weight. And this takes more grams (weight) for a serving so it absolutely matters vs other protein powders. It's not a great deal per serving.
