This is so tempting. Pretty sure this is one of the SRNE manufactured inverters Will's always talking about. Sadly I just bought 20kwh of dc-house 48v batteries in the last month and a half.

Last time I looked into these they were not UL-listed, which may be important to some. (They've been claiming listing is "pending" for quite some time.)

Edit: I just noticed the copy on eBay says the following now: "Additionally, it has passed UL safety certification, having undergone rigorous testing in accordance with UL1973 and UL9540A—two benchmark safety standards in North America."

This is a smoking hot deal! I don't need any more but if I did, I'd be all over this.

That's for the batteries, I don't see any certifications for the inverter. Does the inverter need to be UL or some other compliance?

The batteries are 800 EACH on sale! So 1600 in batteries means 400 for the inverter. Find it cheaper elsewhere, I'll wait haha

$800 for 10kwh. lamo. I just bought 4 eco worthy 280ah 12v batteries for $1,212 (last deal that ended on Saturday) + $50 LiTime balancer.

$1,212+ $50= $1,262

$1,262 / 280 ah = $4.50/ah for 48v config.
$4.50 x 200 ah = $900. ok. its $100 more than I stated.

When you power your house you will understand how fast you burn through 10 kWh. I've now got 8 ecoworthy 280s 12v, 4 dchouse 165, and 4 mixed 100ah batts.

I may be wrong, but it doesn't look like the 280ah 12v eco-worthy battery is UL listed, which may be important for some applications. It's also not 48v or a server rack battery. So while it's important to know that you can build a similar capacity for cheaper, it's also not an apples to apples comparison. You could probably make an even cheaper setup by buying 16x 320ah prismatic cells from ali express for $1000 and putting them in a $250 battery box, but I don't think that would make your configuration a "rip off". Also, how fast you burn through 10kwh is entirely dependent on the size of your house, the size of your solar array, and the location of your home. It also looks like the batteries and inverter each come with cables, which have some value.

Does anyone know if this inverter has a peak rating?
For example, I have the EF Delta 2 Max, and it supports 2.4 kW continuous and 3.6 kW peak. Sadly, the wood spiller I have draws 5 kW peak.
There is another EF deal that comes with the 10 kW inverter for $500 more than this deal. I'm tempted to go with that to make sure I have enough overhead.

Your setup is not UL listed, good luck with home owners insurance covering a fire, no built in breakers etc. There are cheaper and cheaper options always, but for server rack UL listed batteries with safety features you aren't beating this

Don't have home owners insurance. Got 45 kWh of storage so far.
