weird pricing range. Hard not to spend $60 more and get an open box M4 macbook air, or spend $100-150 less and get an M1 macbook air.

I was kinda lucky to find unicorn config (M1 macbook air, with 1TB ssd and 16gb ram), i paid i believe $550 btu this was almost 2 years ago.

if you can deal with cloud or the standard 256 gb storage then you get a lot of power in the m4 base model.

Yes, i have a 1TB m1 macbook, but i also rarely use the storage compared to my PC laptop. (unfortunately apple really messes us up on the storage)

This is my MB configuration and it's still running strong with speedy video transcoding. I'll probably look at upgrading when it's M6, but I'm pretty sure my M1 will still be more than usable by then too. Primarily used for Photoshop and DaVinci Pro work.

The 1000 nit display on this M1 Pro machine is almost worth the price alone. I picked up this same model when the dead stock Cal Poly deal was posted here in July and it has been a great portable DaVinci Resolve laptop.
