OP price is correct if you want the phone to use on ST the final cost is just the 1-month plan ($55). My comment about the final price being higher, was for this phone to be unlocked, which would involve purchasing one additional month of service, which would not necessarily need to be the Gold Unlimited plan.

I don have a couple of questions --
(1) Right after activation it shows my plan has 28 days left and auto renewal is off, despite that the plan was supposedly 30 days and I did sign up for auto renewal when buying the phone (to save $5). Should I be concerned, especially considering the unlocking requirement of 60 days?
(2) I navigated to plan change, picked bronze, it displayed warnings that I may lose some promotions if I change. Would I be able to change now without being charged for the phone? Would the change get into effect immediately or not until the next 30-day period?

I just got it as a backup and will probably get another too to gift away.
No 3rd party firmware or root = no longevity after official support ends
I've heard other people say that Straight Talk phones can't be rooted, but I have a Moto Power 2024 and the OEM Unlocking option is available to me on the settings, and I can unlock it. Doesn't that mean that it's rootable and I can install other OS if there's compatibility?
Is the OEM Unlocking option in the dev settings not the ultimate confirmation that it's rootable?
