Mint and Metro are better imo. With Google fi once you hit your data allotment you're slowed to dial up Internet speeds and it's unusable. On Metro or Mint it's just deprioritized which never matters in my area. Visible or TW are the best deals right now imo for the unlimited hotspot. TW gives free Disney + too on the $30 byod plan.

I moved 3 lines over to Fi (from Spectrum Mobile) a couple months ago the last time this deal was offered. Service on the Pixel phone has been stellar, but the users of the Galaxy S25 and iPhone 13 are begging me to switch them back to Spectrum. But our price for 3 lines went from $100/month down to $55.

I have spectrum on my S25+ for the past 10 months. It's so bad I seriously thought the phone was broken until I test drove Google fi and every app works perfectly now. Every area is different I guess. Free spectrum service is just garbage in my area maybe. I've used spectrum on multiple phones and it always made my apps run like trash until I switched to Google fi.

Get an esim for the travel days from someone like Airalo or Gigsky or a whole bunch of others. They are almost always cheaper than pay-as-you-go rates from standard operators or MVNOs.

"Must stay on Unlimited Essentials or Unlimited Standard plan for 15 months to redeem the full promotion."
This term here doesn't really matter, right? You get credits to bring it down 50% each month, right? If you decide to leave after 2 months, you're not going to get a bill are you? To pay back the discounts you took since you didn't stay for 15 months? Can someone clarify. Thank you.

Can you mix and match unlimited essentials and standard? Like buy 2 on essential and 2 on standard?

Also I have another question can I buy 4 lines but I have only 3 phones. To activate. Can I use 1 phone to activate 2 numbers on it?

I think you just need 4 Gmail accounts and then you can do whatever you want

Yes you can leave at anytime. This just means if you change to any of their other plans the promo is over. Also, if you do leave you wont qualify for any of their promos for 180 days.

Thanks, so you technically can activate all four lines on same device with four different Gmail accounts?

Signed up on Fi on last month's same 50% off deal with 2 new lines (1 ported in, 1 new number), but now presently in the midst of dealing with Fi billing support, as they've applied the discount only to only 1 line and not the other.
On my initial order for the 2 lines on Sept 18 both lines were verified by Fi support as qualified for the the 50% discount on each line, back then.
Hope to get it resolved by Fi support within the next day or two, max. Hoping, anyway.

It seems to me it should work but I can't say for sure.

Just out of curiosity, and especially helpful if anyone has done this before, can you somehow bring over existing Fi lines to this plan? For example, I have 2 lines on another carrier already, and 2 lines on their own existing Fi plans, could I port the 2 Fi lines out somewhere then port all 4 lines in to get the promo pricing on all 4 lines? Is there a cooldown period for bringing numbers back to Fi? Does it help if the "primary" line is one of the originally non-Fi ports?

Edit: Checking around on reddit, it seems like its doable to port out and back in, as long as the email (gmail) used to sign up is different. Neat.
