but the slippery deals nets at least 8% of the sale
It still costs ~$250 at my local optometrist but EyeBuyDirect was $190 - $230 depending on frame.
Is EyeBuyDirect no longer a good deal around? If so, what's the new EyeBuyDirect?

I got legit RayBans on sale with my script from EyeBuyDirect for $200 - $50 off for a total of $150. Then I submitted that to VSP, and they reimbursed me the $100 frame allowance. So in the end, it cost me about $50 instead of $300.
Similarly, I wanted a generic backup pair for my car. These, of course, would cost minimum $150 at the Optometrist for their least expensive "brand" frames, but I got them for about $50 from EBD. In this case, the frames are low quality, while the cheapest frames from the Optometrist would probably be higher quality. But it's not worth $100 more for a spare set that'll be scratched up in a few years anyway.

They fit well and lenses are clear and sharp but they feel very light and flimsy. I also noticed they are not made in France anymore like my old Bolle these are made in PRC so made in china. Box and case look legit though.

My glasses from EyeBuyDirect are still going strong and if my prescription hadnt changed, I wouldn't have changed a thing.
If this is a trade war thing, maybe I should wait now that tariffs on China are being reduced?

I bought the navigator at full price $49 earlier this year. REALLY NICE looking although the temple is a bit tight on my head but nothing you can't adjust by bending. The rubber grips on the arms felt slightly cheap when I received but work great, meaning the finish on the hole ends looked slightly rough with hanging chads when I got them, but I picked them off with nail clipper.
TLDR: polarized and you look great, shut up and buy it.
