I think it's for folks who subscribe to their monitoring service:

Ring Home 10% discount
A 10% Ring Home discount activates the next time you log in after purchasing a subscription. You can't subscribe to a Ring Home plan and use the 10% discount in the same transaction.
Yes that's the one.

Can this be used in home assistant as a stand alone with z wave dongle? On the product page it says "Requires Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro". I am not in ring eco system so just curious. Do you know. TIA
I got them to work zwave on smartthings without issues or too much trouble during setup.

I started originally in the Smartthings ecosystem and have the door contact sensor added in my smartthings app with my gen2 Zwave hub. These also migrate to Home assistant with Smartthings intergration but AFAIK and i could be wrong they depend on cloud to be active. Ideally they should work directly in HA with Zwave dongle.
Thank you for the detailed reply.

Thanks. picked up a 6 pack. Really wanted the 2 pack of glass breaks for $25 but not in stock. I have always wanted to add those to my set up but never that cheap.

How did you enter the code? I have Alarm Pro so Subscriber discount 10% code is added automatically and not showing the promo code field for me to this discount code.

How to use the sensors, can these be connected to the app directly? Or else do we need a hub?
