While I hold ESR in high regard as a brand, the reviews for both the 5k and 10k look abysmal. Heating up (more than warm) and not fast charging. If it's legit qi2 certified then it shouldn't be showing the "slow charger" notification on an iPhone and should be charging it reasonably fast. I'm not comparing it to wired fast charging of course.
Would love to hear others thoughts, especially those who own one.

I'd love to hold them in high regard, but I had literally four devices in a row fail from them. The first pack I had died after about three months. They sent a direct replacement and it was dead within a day. They then sent a different model, along with a free MagSafe ring as an apology, and I quickly found the new battery would drain to empty, without being used, in the span of 48 hours. At that point they just quietly stopped bothering to help me. And the Ring's hinge broke within a few weeks.

I have 2 of these in black, 1 in white. These are probably my favorite of the dozen or so magsafe batteries I have. Super slim, felt better made than the anker equivalent, and has held up great for the past year. Haven't had any issues with them (knock on wood)

I've been thinking about this for a while. I own a lot of power banks but usually end up not utilizing them (or losing them lol).
I like the new influx of 5000mah slim chargers, because it solves one 1st-world problem of chargers, which is that it's inconvenient to use.
These new crop of slim chargers allow you to use the phone while charging, and the inconvenience of a slightly thicker "device" is not bad.
The downside of these chargers is that the wireless part (although convenient), is usually slow and causes the phone to heat up significantly.
Therefore I decided to try out this type of charger: a slim, magnetic (non-wireless) charger with a short integrated cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCNT7KVT
This should solve overheating problems with wireless charging. If anything, the battery pack itself will serve as a heatsink.
I suggest you possibly try something similar out (there are a bunch of similar ones, and if you don't need to meet the needs of dual lightning and USB-C, there are those as well)
