Restock fee for an open box item is wild

I just purchased the 512GB off Samsung shop app for $958 taxes included with no trade-in. Definitely for a 256GB open box that's way too expensive.

Best buy usually waves the restocking fee is there's something actually wrong with it and not a buyers remorse return. You can also go pick it up in store and check it out before paying.

Seems expensive with tax. These days I don't see benefit with best buy specially with restocking fee and tax. Checkout Facebook marketplace. You should be able to get for less than 700 that is barely used and with warranty

I have purchased many open box things from Best Buy and returned them without any fee. Open box is not subject to a restocking fee.
New? That's a completely different story.

80 is not normal, but I get your point.

Sounds like a low IQ comment. People buy expensive computers, TV, and hell even $100K cars from FB.

I agree with you, but the unfortunate thing is that the Galaxy phones have been duped a lot, so a lot of the facebook posts are cheap Chinese clones or knock offs. Make sure to meet at your service provider store to make sure it works if you go the FB route

It's not the price that's the issue

"expensive phone" . Expensive phones are more likely to be knockoffs.
