I've seen that done in hotels in North Africa. I was a touch wary of using that thing...rather worried about it being "out of control".

Paid $495 over 2 years ago. Great unit but doesn't have a motorized seat or light. Also, there is no way to turn off-self cleaning if you get up from the seat for anything, even if the sprayer isn't used (all Toto bidets exhibit this). This can be somewhat noisy if the bath is located near sleeping area.

This one has more higher end features. The wand self cleans every time you're detected arriving or leaving. It uses a proximity sensor vs the costco model which is a weight switch.

where do you see the proximity sensor info? we have two of these and both from what i can tell dont have any sensors other than the sensor for the wifi remote and the seat...but i might be wrong and we just havent noticed it
