i've had the "previous" model since 2019 and it's going strong with almost daily use. tempted to jump on this since i feel like mine could die any second and it's getting a little long in the tooth

i was about to pull the trigger and then I ask a person who have one. They don't like one basket is way too small, and constantly have to use both.

This is tempting I got the 8qt ninja dual bay from Sam's club about a year ago on sale 100$ . There are times I wish it was a bit bigger or atleast 1 side was bigger. I know the 8qt is normally 150$ this retail has got to be higher. Good deal op

Ninja and other manufacturers make a dual bay fryer different sizes . I've seen a 6 qt and even a 4qt dual bay meaning each bay is 2 or 3 qt which is pretty small. A 10 qt meaning each bay 5 qt is a pretty good size . I currently have a 8qt dual bay and there are times I wish it was a bit bigger , most of the time it's plenty. It's nice having dual bays at times . YMMV but most people that own a dual bay don't have a 10qt and I could see a smaller one being an issue not so much with a 5qt each bay.

really surprised by that, it does not work well when using both baskets in my experience, takes way longer because it just can't pull enough power to get both sides hot.

I have a Ninja Foodi. The one that can be tipped up to hide away. I use it nearly daily so I never hide it, plus crumbs don't really clean out of the unit all that well once in the back corner.

So what's the benefit of the deeper basket? It seems the Foodi having a shallow but long basket is more ideal to let air flow.

Then again, what even is an air fryer than a convection oven? Or maybe I'm using it wrong...

I just replaced my flip up Ninja with this one.

I had it for about 3 years. The Foodie did everything just "ok".

This dedicated air fryer air fries FAR better than the flip up one. The air flow is much better in the baskets.

Even though a frozen pizza won't fit in the baskets, I have no regrets.

I never use the pizza function anyhow. Thanks for the recommendation!
