I tried Nb 1080's and they were more comfortable than brooks or hokas

I buy them for the wide based footprint for hiking on rocks where traditional hiking "boots" have narrow soles below the heels and lead to twisted ankles. These prevent that and provide a nice cushion for speed walking the trails and work well. Nobody cares how ugly they are on the trails either haha

I love the Cliftons and have two pairs. This is a great price but I'm not sold on the suede uppers. I've bought one other suede athletic shoe and it just looked "weird" to me: too nice for athletic wear and too casual for nicer wear.

I ordered it and wore it for the first time today. Lots of compliments. They are beautiful shoes. However, my feet get a little hot in them.
