If anyone else is looking for it, I found shortyman24's instructions quoted here: https://slickdeals.net/f/18686347-metro-by-t-mobile-256gb-motorola-razr-2024-5g-gray-30-days-60-prepaid-plan-65-free-shipping?p=1797
And here is the software to unlock it if you're lucky and get an older android version: https://xdaforums.com/t/how-unloc...t-90088027
But it seems like they're mostly sending on ones that are on android 15 now.
or
go into settings -> networking -> sim cards
or
call yourself on another phone

I activated it, turned it off, dumped it in a drawer, and scheduled an email to myself in a year on gmail.

exactly my experience

Right now, I'm getting a 200 server error when trying to unlock. I will try again tomorrow, but I wonder if T-Mobile blocked that VPN from working.
It should be Android 14. I just received mine yesterday

I am not sure how the actual bypass mechanism works but I suspect that the tool intercept the unlock request and redirect it to a fake tmobile unlock server, then return a fake unlock success response to the unlock app in the phone to fool it to unlock. And in last 24 hours or so the fake unlock server for some reason is down.
I might be wrong. Please sure your thoughts everyone.
