I got one. It would be nice if it's on android 14 and I can unlock it immediately but for $65 I'm willing to put it in a drawer for a year.
If anyone else is looking for it, I found shortyman24's instructions quoted here: https://slickdeals.net/f/18686347-metro-by-t-mobile-256gb-motorola-razr-2024-5g-gray-30-days-60-prepaid-plan-65-free-shipping?p=179753944#post179753944
And here is the software to unlock it if you're lucky and get an older android version: https://xdaforums.com/t/how-unloc...t-90088027
But it seems like they're mostly sending on ones that are on android 15 now.

I was able to log in and add a line for $35 free 2024 Razr a day after activating my first order, tried again an hour later but won't let me, I assume I need to get my second order activated first before ordering again

So just a recap i only need one month and it will unlock after 12 months after paying one service? How do i turn off the auto pay?
The autopay is OFF by default. Just don't pay for the second month. Wait for another 11 months and the phone should unlock.

Go to app settings, click on the 3 dots upper right corner and click on show system apps, scroll down to Unlock app, clear data, and it should reset the Unlock/ try permanent unlock/ temporary unlock
I completely forgot about that, I even had to do it before. Didn't work, though, even after reboot.
Just trying to get it to unlock again prompted it to pull the March security update. I'm getting ready to give up.

Mine arrive yesterday and it was Nov 24 security patched.
I am not sure because I already activated the eSIM, the Moto Unlock tool was not working.
Error message said something cannot connect the server.
Performed factory reset including eSIM erase(forgot to turn off auto update so already security patch applied).
Now my phone is A14 March 2025 security patch.
The Mto Unlock tool now shows "180 days" message and no more able to click "try unlock"
Bummer.
I Have the same issue

Hello,
I'm a new Metro customer.
I followed all the steps for the online activation, got my phone number but I was unable to complete the activation process because, for some reason, I'm not receiving the verification Pin on my new phone and though impossible to login.
Spent 1h with a useless CS, they said you have to go to store to bypass the Pin verification.
My question is:
Did you get the verification Pin txt on your new phone to complete the activation process? am I doing something wrong?
FYI, the phone shows Network bars, 5G and Metro Logo, but I'm unable to make or receive calls/text, I'm getting a message to call CS for activation.
Thx

Try to send a text message to yourself or someone else using the new phone and make sure it's delivered. Then try to resend a verification code. I encountered the same issue but that step fixed it. Good luck!

Can anyone outline all steps with updated details for permanent unlock from the time the phone is received.
Do I need to activate it online as soon as I get the phone before turning on? Or turn on and activate eSIM and then activate the plan?

I read on other posts that do not activate eSIM or connect to wifi. There is another way to unlock thru bootloader. Is that true?
