basic keyword search now broken/untrustworthy

see attached screenshot, but with the exact same filters in place (most notably, without "hide expired" toggled), and whether logged in or not...
  • searching for "dreamegg" shows 4 results matching that company -- none of which were the frontpage deal I bought back in September
  • searching for "hx-r30" (the model number of that fp deal) DOES show two results

what gives? searching for a unique company name should be an ultrabasic functionality and immediately makes me assume the internal search is useless and I'll have to google "thing+slickdeals" from now on.

(I saw some other threads in this subforum but nothing matching this kind of egregious fail but please correct me if I'm wrong)

Thanks for the feedback. Something definitely seems wonky. I sent this thread over to the search team so that they can look into this issue.

One thing you may want to try is to switch from searching the past 3 years (which is the default) to all time, because that does bring up those two missing threads.

This has been fixed, so searching in the past 3 years now shows those missing deals.
Thank you again.
